The official City of Ballarat source says the James Reserve dog park opened as a purpose-built, fenced off-leash environment for dog owners and pets. It was developed with local resident, Traditional Owner, state agency and landcare consultation, and is intended for safe dog exercise, owner social interaction and responsible pet-ownership education.
