Details
City of Ballarat describes Lake Burrumbeet as a large lake about 20 kilometres west of Ballarat within the City of Ballarat municipality. The area is used for walking, picnicking, camping, boating and fishing, with a free campsite and redfin perch fishing noted. The current public notice says the 5-knot speed limit for high-speed boating activities was removed as of 24 August 2026 after water levels increased following a wetter than average winter. The City says it is continuing to monitor water quality and water levels, and the page points visitors to Boating Vic for live ramp camera, carpark and weather information.
