City of Ballarat says Scotsburn Community Hall was built in 1891 and sits on Scotsburn Bicentennial Park at the foot of Mount Buninyong. It is used by the local primary school, Landcare, bands, residents and the wider public for functions including birthdays, reunions, fundraisers, weddings, dances, concerts and performances. Facilities include wooden floorboards, stage with rear and side entry, electric and split-system heating and cooling, bench seating, meeting room with whiteboard, domestic kitchen with stove, microwave, urn, instant hot water, crockery and cutlery for 50, ticket office and cloakrooms, wheelchair access via front and side entries, outdoor toilets, covered picnic area, two picnic tables and a portable BBQ. Venue inspections are by appointment.
