Victoria Hill Diggings

City of Greater Bendigo lists Victoria Hill Diggings at 40-56 Marong Road, Ironbark. The council page says gold was discovered there in 1854 and that the site still has nineteenth-century mining relics, including quartz crushing machinery and foundations from George Lansell's 180 mine. It is registered for historical, archaeological and scientific significance. Access is from the rear of Albert Richardson Reserve, with steep unformed paths, dusk closure and a stay-on-path warning, so it is useful for visitors who want outdoor goldfields history and are comfortable with rougher conditions.
