Details

The current City trail page describes an approximately 35-kilometre shared-use route following the former Geelong-Queenscliff railway alignment from South Geelong toward Queenscliff. It notes asphalt between South Geelong and Drysdale, compacted crushed rock beyond Drysdale, mostly easy gradients and useful segment planning from South Geelong to Moolap, Leopold, Drysdale and Queenscliff. Visitor facilities are listed along the route, including toilets, shelter and drinking water at Fred Cooke Reserve, toilets, playground, BBQ area and drinking water at Drysdale Station Reserve, and emergency marker posts on the trail. Use it as the major Bellarine walking or cycling route for active visitors, and check the source before relying on surfaces, crossings, facilities, dog rules or works.
