The current City reserve page lists Limeburners Lagoon State Nature Reserve at 150-200 Foreshore Road, Corio and describes a northern Corio Bay wetland managed in partnership with Parks Victoria. It explains that Limeburners Bay is part of the Port Phillip Bay (Western Shoreline) and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar site, with shallow tidal water, bird feeding and roosting habitat, seagrass, mangroves, Hovells Creek context and habitat for waterbirds and other native species. Visitor notes include a walking and cycling trail around the western side toward Hovells Creek, an information shelter, views from the Mangrove Boardwalk, public toilets, picnic facilities, free parking, environmental values and dogs-on-leash rules.
