Newtown

Newtown is useful for Barwon River walks, reserves and established inner-suburb services. The City Places page describes the river running around Newtown, large reserves with playing fields, wetlands and a bicycle and walking track, plus Balyang Sanctuary, heritage houses, nearby Queens Park and Kardinia Park, schools and shopping centres. Use it as a quieter link between central Geelong, Highton and Belmont.
